1181-IRTW is classifed as R type retaining ring for bores, which is one of the internal retaining rings.
It is known as IR type circular circlip and manufactured in Japanese JIS standard. It is installed in axially as known as thrust direction mounted. IRTW ring has even shoulders, it is used for the matting parts with larger arc angles and bearing the higher thrust load. IRTW ring fits ring diameter (d3) from 11.1mm (0.437inches) to 105.5mm (4.154inches).
IRTW functions like RTW. The major difference is RTW ring's has inner protrusion and it interferes the installation, while IRTW ring's has outer protrusion and will not interfere the installation.
